The Aladdin Core API is a Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation web service that performs all validation, authentication and authorisation and through which all transactions are processed.
Because all transaction processing is centralised in the Core API, the front-end component used to process the transaction is irrelevant. In fact, any third party system can connect to the Core API and process (as long as the user is authorised to do so) any of the transactions that can be processed via the standard Aladdin front-end components. This makes integration to third-party systems as well as legacy systems easy and ensures that validation and security measures are consistently applied.
